FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT PHOTOGRAPH FOR A PORTRAIT?
For a quality portrait, it is essential to choose the right and high-quality photo.
– When choosing, pay attention to resolution and lighting.
If possible, the photo should be sharp, close-up, and illuminated by daylight. It is desirable that the size of the photo is at least 1 Mb.
- The photo should be expressive, it should express the qualities or emotions of a person. It is most beautiful when the portrait shows the whole person and when it also shows the inside of the person. If there are several people in the portrait, it is desirable that they interact with each other, e.g. that they are hugging or showing affection to each other.

CAN A PORTRAIT BE COMPOSED FROM SEVERAL PHOTOS?
It is desirable that all people are in one photo, but it is understandable that sometimes this is not possible, so you can send me several separate photos, which I will combine into one whole.
DO YOU ALSO FRAME THE PORTRAIT? WHAT FRAME DO YOU SUGGESTED IF I FRAMED THE PORTRAIT MYSELF?
In case of personal pickup, I can also frame the portrait for you. If I have you make a custom-made frame, the frame will be paid extra. In this case, the delivery time is extended by approximately 1 week. We agree on this before the portrait is made.
If you are going to buy the frame yourself (which I personally recommend, because everyone has their own taste), make sure that it has at least 5 cm of passe-partout, and that the outer frame does not have flashy colors.
I recommend not overly flashy frames, neutral or more pastel colors (black-white, gray, anthracite, gold, etc.) Silver goes perfectly with graphite.
The use of the "passepartout" technique is highly recommended not only from an aesthetic point of view, but also from a practical point of view; because the inside edge creates a focus on the drawing while preventing it from coming into contact with the glass.

IS AN ADVANCE PAYMENT NECESSARY?
Yes. I trust my customers, because I build a personal relationship, but to start production, I ask for a partial advance payment (30% advance), which ensures serious cooperation. It is necessary to understand that each portrait takes a certain amount of time to create, which in case of possible cancellation would take the place of others and thus delay the creation of other portraits, and it is, after all, my original work, which requires a large energy input from me and quite a bit of time and a lot of dedication . I understand that it is difficult to transfer money in advance without knowing if you will actually like the portrait, but after 20 years of drawing and with over 300 drawings, I have yet to have a dissatisfied customer. However, I stand for your satisfaction and guarantee my positive attitude towards your comments, desired corrections or changes.
HOW DO I PAY FOR A PORTRAIT?
You pay for the portrait via bank transfer. You pay a 30% advance and the rest before taking over, when the work is completed and you are satisfied with it. In the case of delivery, it is also necessary to pay the postage costs, which amount depend of the delivery country.
WHAT IF I NEED A PORTRAIT AT THE "LAST MINUTE"?
In this fast pace of life, it often happens that we need a gift in a very short time.
It is definitely a good idea to order the portrait at least a week to 14 days in advance. Without the quality of the work suffering, we can also agree on "last minute" drawing, if possible. Do not hesitate to call me anyway so we can find a solution together. I am flexible and extremely responsible in my work.

CAN I RETURN THE PORTRAIT OR CANCEL THE OREDER?
On the basis of point 1 of the fifth paragraph of Article 43 of the ZvPOT, the buyer does not have the right to withdraw from the contract, for portraits or drawings of a person/persons, as they are goods that are manufactured according to the customer's exact instructions and adapted to his personal needs (unique product).
Every customer is informed before the order itself and agrees with the order, agrees with the method and style of illustration which he chooses in advance. The creation of the illustration itself takes from 15 to 30 hours of active work, so refunds are not possible. Agreements are possible only on minor corrections, but there are NO refunds. The order obligates the customer to make the agreed payment, but I undertake to do my best for your final satisfaction.
